Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer Asian people exist. Yes we do.

Though many in our Asian families and communities wish we didn’t.

This is a place for queer Asian stories from NZ to be written, exclaiming “we are here whether you like it or not.”

We also wish to share with you and each other, the impact that homophobia and transphobia has had on our self esteems and family relationships.

Queer Asian people have faced denial and invisibility, when our families and communities cite tradition and culture as ways of justifying homophobia.

We invite queer Asian people to submit their stories, as well as supportive straight and cis-gendered Asian people too!
